There are several ways to register to vote. The following are some options:
If you change your name due to marriage, divorce etc., you will need submit a new voter registration form to vote under your new name.
Inactive means that our office has received notification that your address is no longer a good address. Inactive voters are eligible to vote but will not be mailed a sample ballot. In order to activate your record you simply need to submit a new voter registration application or return the confirmation card that is mailed by our office. It is important that each time you move you update your address.
You may activate your account by returning the card mailed by our office, submitting a new registration form with updated information, OR vote in the next election.
Early Voting begins the Saturday two weeks prior to election day. There are also branch locations that may be more convenient for you. The entire Early Voting schedule, including the branch locations, will be in your sample ballot which you will receive a few days prior to the beginning of early voting. The Early Voting schedule will also be published in the Record Courier and posted on this website.
Submit a mail-in ballot request form before 5:00pm on the 3rd Tuesday before Election Day. Anyone can request a mail-in ballot, and beginning in January of 2020 all Nevada voters are entitled to receive permanent mail-in ballots. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.

Yes. The polls close at 7 pm on election day and the ballots are brought to the County Clerk’s office to be tabulated. The County Clerk’s office posts the election results as soon as authorized by the Nevada Secretary of State’s office.
Nevada law (NRS 293.361 and 293.740) prohibits electioneering within 100 feet from the entrance to the building or structure in which a polling place is located.
